So last Saturday, our family went to Jackson to visit my newly born cousin, Lily Grace Harmon... (See pictures below) On the way there, we heard a weird rattling noise coming from the van. We stop in a random parking lot to see what's wrong. After killing the engine, and coming to the conclusion that it was just making a weird rattling noise, and nothing more, we crank Ole Mini back up again...Or TRY to... After several more attempts, we gave up on Ole Mini coming back to life. Poor Ole Mini was dead as a doornail... (We found out later that it had something to do with something connecting to the tubes that connect to the transmission, or something like that...I'm sure all you mechanics got that. :)) So here's what we did while waiting in the parking lot...

Yes, the van was in park. Although we DID actually have to push it for REAL purposes at one point, to see if something or other would work.. Etc... :)

DeleteSooooo, how did you get to Jackson, or if you were already in Jackson how did you get to the hospital,.... or if you didn't kill the motor till you got to the hospital, how did you get back home? In other words, what's the moral (or solution) to this story???? :-) Love the story and pictures!
ReplyDeleteWe were already in Jackson when this happened. And Matthew had to leave his "new Daddy" duties and come pick us up... Thankfully it wasn't very far from the hospital. :)Daddy stayed with the van to figure out how to fix it, while we went to the hospital. My grandparents also live near Jackson, so my grandfather came to help my Dad. Then they got Mini cranked and to my grandparents house. There they worked on her and got er running so that we could get home...
