Of Wild Ideas & Ugly Sweaters...

So I had the wild idea to have an ugly sweater party!! :) The goal was to find the tackiest, ugliest, most ridiculous looking sweater you could...And then be brave enough to wear it to a party! :D Sounds fun, right?? We thought it was... So brace yourselves and take a look!
The girls... The finalists were me and my cousin Anna Brooke (left of me). She won, but not before we had fun arguing about who was uglier... "No, I am SO much uglier!"..."Ohh, no! YOU are just plain TACKY!" Yeah, it was definitely the only time you could directly insult a person and be complimenting them all at the same time!! :)

The guys... (Ethan, the one in the Mr. Roger's style brown sweater was the winner for the boys.) :)
Thanks to the Archie family for hosting this thing! :)

As you can see, yours truly was the only person who hadn't changed clothes by this point... So it makes for a gorgeous picture. Some people actually told me that my sweater was NOT ugly. (and they were serious). Well, you have your opinion, and I'll have mine. ;)

Happy Thanksgiving!

A *very* competitive game of... "toss the beanie" ?? Really not sure what the real name of this is! :)
more beanie tossing! :)
BJ getting geared up for the zipline...
Pretty much every Laird ever loves to sing, play, etc. :)

Most of the family actually in one picture! :)
a few of the girl cousins
The older male cousins in the family have had this football "pick-em" contest where they pick who will win games, scores, etc. Anyway, Daddy won this year! :) He came away from "THE" presentation of the trophy with an humble "I don't appreciate this at all, but I deserve it from the bottom of my heart..."  Touching, huh?

November Bible Conference

We had our annual Bible Conference a few weeks ago (okay, several weeks ago!), and here are a few pictures from it!
The Tero family
The Tate family
The Archie family (along with a cousin up there on the left) :)
Yes, Lizzy and I were twins for the day...And yes, we planned it. :) Shopping together makes this happen!
A big group of young people (and a few young at heart) went to a local nursing home to sing for the residents.
